How xarxa works
Someone needs a hand, someone else has one free. The board puts the two in the same place. Nothing is paid for, and you arrange the details between you.
Ask, or offer
Every post is one of two things: something you need, or something you can do. Give it a title, pick up to three categories, and say enough that someone can tell whether it's for them.
This is what a post looks like
On the board you see the type, the categories, where it is and who wrote it. The words underneath are tags — click one and the board shows everything else with that tag.
Help me move a piano on Saturday
Upright piano, second floor to a van, no lift. Two or three people and half an hour should do it. I'll make coffee.

Someone shows interest
When a post is right for you, say you're interested. The author gets an email and sees it under Activity. Nobody can message anyone before that — an author decides who they talk to.
Accepting opens the chat
Once the author accepts, a private chat opens between the two of you. Work out the when and where there. If someone goes quiet, you'll get an email so the thread doesn't die in a tab you closed.
Close it when it's done
Closing a post takes it off the board and tells anyone still waiting. Posts nobody has touched for a while close on their own, after an email asking if they're still live.
Worth knowing
- A post can carry up to three categories. If none fit, choose Other and say what it is — that's how new categories get added.
- Posts in Barcelona can name a neighbourhood. It's optional, and it's a barri, never an address.
- Asking for help? You can offer a small thank-you — a shell, an old ring. Never money, and never a condition.
- Search matches titles, descriptions and tags. Add several words and it finds posts matching any of them.
